~ The Field Facilitation ~

I am a somatic nervous system coach and embodiment guide, yoga teacher, circle holder and business strategist and mentor.
As a certified trauma-informed space-holder, a Scaravelli-inspired and Heart + Bones trained yoga teacher, and embodiment guide, the essence of my approach is to guide you to cultivate your felt sense and capacity to deeply listen to your body's wisdom, to enhance health, vitality and your capacity to adapt to stressors.

Rooted in the spirit of embodied enquiry, playfulness and curiosity, and by integrating trauma-informed, body-oriented coaching practices, mindful movement, meditation, breathwork, pranayama, and embodiment tools, I support you to:

-
Cultivate embodied presence and ease
-
Reclaim authentic power and expression
-
Enhance vitality and resilience
-
Remember and rediscover wholeness
-
Expand into connection, joy and abundance

Body-oriented practices, study and influences
In December 2024, I completed the Field Facilitation, a powerful year-long training in the art of embodied leadership and facilitating emergent group spaces. The Field was created by Rachel Rickards, and co-facilitated by David Cates, Christian Pankhurst, and Catherine Hale.

Over the last 20 years, I have been taught Scaravelli-influenced yoga by: Suzy Greenwood (nee Daw), Dot Bowen, John Stirk, Becky Barkans and Gary Carter, all of whom have several decades of experience and have worked extensively with Diane Long, a long-term student of Vanda Scaravelli.
I am profoundly grateful to have hosted Philip Shepherd (Radical Wholeness and Embodiment) briefly and find his work continues to influence me several years after.
Other influences include: Katy Bowman (biomechanist), nervous system experts, Veronica Rottman, Jessica Maguire, and Kimberly Ann Johnson, as well as Emily Fletcher (meditation) and Alyssa Nobriga (somatic coach).
Other random facts about me
I have had a range of business management, professional and personal development experience including, learning to balance competing needs of a family as a mother of two, and long-term relationship, and working in a fast-paced, senior corporate role in international aid and development for over 17 years.
Though born in the UK, I grew up in South East Asia, spending my school years in India and Bangladesh, and identify as half British and half Bangladeshi.

In my twenties, I was obsessed with Capoeira Angola, a Brazilian martial art, with a history rooted in resistance to slavery, while being deeply spiritual at the same time. I trained in Brighton and Brazil and taught as well.
As a child and teenager, I competed in athletic, sometimes travelling internationally to do so. My favourite events were the 100m sprint and the hurdles.

I resource myself daily in a variety of ways (yoga, co-regulation, pranayama, meditation, journalling, walking in nature, sauna etc).
Additionally, regular visits to bodyworkers, EMDR therapists, acupuncturists and talking therapy support my self-care.
This is key to maintaining my well-being as well as integral to living my commitment to raising the standards of care towards those I serve.
