You are not here to be fixed. You are here to be met, and to find your way back.
If you seem fine on the outside and privately you're not, you're in good company.
Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out.
Maybe taking a step towards what you want feels harder than it should. It might be about:
-
Your purpose
-
A relationship you want, or one that needs to change
-
Patterns that aren't serving you
-
Taking up space and speaking your truth
-
Your next move in work or business
-
Letting yourself receive
-
Feeling alive
This makes sense. You make sense. Nothing is wrong with you.
Your system is doing what it learned to do. It can also change.
I know first hand how impossible it can feel to look from where you are to where you want to be.
You might have tried therapy, goal setting and action plans, and still feel stuck.
You know emotions live in the body, but you're not sure how to reach them, or work with them in a way that shifts something.
If that's you, let's talk. Book a free 30 minute discovery call to explore how we can work together.
What is somatic coaching?
Somatic means 'of the body'. In somatic coaching we work with what your body is doing as well as what your mind is saying.
Tension, numberless, feeling wired and tired at once, the urge to rush or shut down. These are signals from your nervous system and they shape how you decided, relate and cope.
When we listen to them, things that thinking alone couldn't shift often start to move.
It's coaching, so we stay focused on where you are now and where you want to go. It works alongside therapy and doesn't replace it.
Where it comes from
Somatic practice didn't begin in a lab. Much of it draws on yogic and other indigenous traditions that have worked with breath, movement and the body for thousands of years, and I want to honour that.
My work is also informed by Somatic Experiencing, developed by Dr. Peter Levine, Polyvagal Theory, and the psychodynamic tradition of Carl Jung.
Together they help us understand how stress and trauma are held in the body, and how the nervous system can find its way back to safety. That's the ground that healing and post-traumatic growth sprout from.
I'm a Certified Psychodynamic Life Coach and Trauma-informed Space Holder and an IPHM-accredited practitioner, currently in the second year of the three-year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training.
I take a holistic view, working across the body, emotions, subconscious, mindset, and behaviour, and I see mind, body, spirit and the world around us as connected.
When we come home to ourselves, we also loosen internalised patterns of 'power over' in us and around us. For me, that's quiet activism at the root.
What we work towards
-
Accessing your body's wisdom
-
Presence and ease
-
Moving through emotions and clearing blocks
-
Vitality and resilience
-
Clarity and confidence in your next step
-
Connection, joy and abundance
Shadow work and somatic work
Shadow work makes the unseen seen. It's the process of integrating parts of yourself you've pushed out of awareness.
Somatic work does something similar at the level of the body, nervous system and emotions.
If you're often caught in mental loops, your body and subconscious may be holding insight that's waiting to be heard.
What happens in a session?
Your body is the guide, and you set the pace.
We start by building a foundation of safety in your body and your surroundings, then grow your nervous system's capacity to handle more.
Together, we learn the language of the nervous system and tune into sensation, the 'felt-sense', intuition and emotion, and get curious about what they're telling you.
We use grounding, orienting, mindfulness and practices that support vagal tone, so your body can feel safer and more settled in everyday life.
Each session has an intention, and it's allowed to unfold from there.
You leave with the tools to track subtle sensation, more capacity to meet difficult emotions with more compassion and self-warmth, plus practical steps to try straight away.

I felt at ease and trusting immediately. Eva has a warmth that is very reassuring.
I am learning to slow down, tune in, witness and accept my reactions more. The session we did together reinforced the work I'm doing in therapy, but on a body level.
I felt so settled after our coaching session that I approached the rest of the day with amazing calmness and peace.

I had had a difficult day and our coaching session helped me understand what was happening on a body level.
Even seemingly small practices can shift things. I came away with a better understanding of what tools I can use to support me.
I felt relief in the tightness in my chest and lighter and calmer at the end of our session.
